This is an awesome market for disciplined traders, but still a VERY choppy one for small-cap runners. These plays don’t last long. They spike, and then they fall … fast.

Poker-to-trading pivots aren’t unusual … But does a poker-playing past give traders an edge? Every one of the traders I told you about yesterday says poker helped speed up their learning curve and achieve the right mindset in trading. But does that mean that all traders should play poker? Not necessarily. Even if you never pick up a deck of cards, a few poker mindset concepts can help any trader. Here are a few big ones…

Do poker players make better traders? I constantly say I want dedicated students, not degenerate gamblers… But as it turns out, traders can learn a lot from the poker mindset — even if they never intend on actually playing cards. It’s similar to channeling the athlete mindset… Then again, I’m not a poker player, so how do I know this? Because I’ve found a pattern among several of my top students…

If I had to guess, I’d say there are probably 30 to 40 good setups in a day right now. It’s overwhelming. And it’s all times of day… Premarket, midday, afternoon, after-hours… It’s literally nonstop plays. The best part? You get to choose.

No two trading journeys are alike. I like to say that my teaching style is like training wheels. I’m just here to teach you how trading stocks works and the basics. I don’t want anyone to copy me. Instead, I want my students to study my lessons and learn from my trades. I want traders to use my trading education resources to build their knowledge accounts so that eventually, they can develop their own strategy. A lot of people don’t get it. They just want hot stock picks.
