Trade Alert: Quartet of New Trades

The Stock Trader Alert system is back with a fresh quartet of trades.

After banking a gain of more than 1% since joining the portfolio last week, we are leaving McCormick & Company (NYSE: MKC) behind. Joining McCormick in the dustbin is 3M Company (NYSE: MMM), which has gained about 9.5% since it was added to the portfolio at the beginning of March.

Replacing this duo are AptarGroup Inc. (NYSE: ATR), a consumer goods packaging company that’s currently trading near all-time highs, and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. (Nasdaq: CBRL), a stock that’s surged recently and is on the verge of a breakout.

Once again, some congratulations are in order, as the Stock Trader Alert portfolio is sitting on an average return of about 45%! And since the markets surged to all-time highs again last week, we are continuing to hold our position in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSE Arca: SPY). (For more information on returns, see our backtesting data and the full portfolio history.)
