Trade Alert: 2 New Trades

Today, the Stock Trader Alert portfolio has a pair of new trades. We’re closing out an underperforming holding and moving into a stock with great potential.

We are cutting our losses on Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. (Nasdaq: CBRL) today, as the shares struggled under increased analyst scrutiny.

Replacing CBRL is WW Grainger Inc. (NYSE: GWW), a stock that has pulled back to buyable levels following an impressive breakout above its 50-day moving average last week.

Checking in on the current Stock Trader Alert portfolio, you are sitting on a gain of about 29%, with McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE: MCD) leading the way with a gain of just over 20% from our entry point. What’s more, we have closed out 31 winners out of 45 positions for a win rate of more than 70%!

Meanwhile, our hedge position in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSE Arca: SPY) made up some ground last week and is sitting at a gain of nearly 13.5%. (For more information on returns, see our backtesting data and the full portfolio history.)

The current portfolio is below, so let’s keep winning!
