If you’re traveling this holiday season, then you already know how crowded the roads and airports are.

For the rest of you, let me provide you with a little data.

AAA just released a report forecasting that this year will have the most holiday traveling in history.

At least 112.5 million Americans are expected to pack their bags and travel by car, plane, train or bus. That’s more than one-third of the entire U.S. population!

The top destination? Orlando, Florida, of course. Who wouldn’t want to spend Christmas at Disney World?

But behind the traveling frenzy, there’s an important message…

Personal Connections

Sure, the surge of traveling is related to the economy doing well and gas prices being low.

But it’s also a reminder of the importance of friends and family.

For many people, the holiday season is the time of year they get to be reunited with their loved ones. Others get to spend some precious quality time with the people around them who matter the most.

After all, it’s easy to get swept up in the stress and worries of everyday life. We can take these relationships for granted and forget how much they mean to us.

But these intimate personal connections are truly the most important thing in the world.

The Holiday Season Is a Magical Time of Year

As you relax and enjoy the holidays with your friends and family, please take a moment to appreciate how special this occasion is.

It’s the one time of year that’s all about sharing joy and experiences (and presents!) with the people in your life who you cherish.

That’s what makes the holidays such a memorable and magical time.

That said, all of us here at Banyan Hill wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Many of us are adding to that traveling surge this year, and I’m sure some of you are too. So I also wish you safe travels!
