The U.S. housing boom is alive and well.

Per the St. Louis Federal Reserve data, 2017 should see more houses built than last year. In fact, this will be the most houses built in the last decade. The rebound began in 2009 and continued every year since then.

As you would imagine, it’s a boom in lumber too. Look at the chart below:

2017 will see the most houses built in the last decade. And within the housing boom, another trend is in place.

The iShares Global Timber & Forestry ETF (Nasdaq: WOOD) is up 66% since February 2016. The trend is in place.
