Is there a time of year, say a quarter, when weather impact on stocks is less than the rest of the year?

This is an excellent question, because, yes, there will be some periods of quiet during the year when we won’t have as many new trade opportunities. On the other hand, there will be plenty of periods where we’ll be busy with new trades.

As for when those quiet periods strike, there’s one in particular: late summer, in August and September. That is usually the quietest time of year as the weather is transitioning from the dog days of summer to early fall and there are very few storm systems.

However, there are still some trades to be made from back-to-school season and so on, so there will still be alerts. And keep in mind that this is also the time Jeff is looking for trades to make for the fall and winter, while making decisions on how to close out summer trades.
