ESports are among the fastest growing sports around the world. However, you might be wondering what eSports are, because if you’re like most people, you’ve never heard of them.
Well, eSports are where competitors play computer and video games live for an audience of spectators. Just like how Americans love to watch the Super Bowl, young people — especially millennials — watch eSports.
You may already know that the millennial generation — Americans who are between the ages of 18 and 34 — is one of the mega trends I focus on in my paid service Profits Unlimited. And one of the areas I’m looking to get my subscribers into is eSports. Here’s why:
ESports are growing like gangbusters. Market intelligence firm Newzoo estimates that eSports generated $493 million in 2016 … representing 52% growth from 2015.
Furthermore, Newzoo’s research shows eSports growing to a $1.1 billion industry by 2019 … meaning that eSports are on a rapid growth curve that is going to make stocks in this business soar higher.
